#self-correction and self-assessment are an integral part of the Montessori classroom approach. In A B Cube as children mature, they learn to look critically at their work and become adept at recognizing, correcting, and learning from their errors.

#Montessori supports social-emotional skill. A B Cube follows the contemporary research that supports the 100-year-old Montessori's Method effectiveness, indicating that children who learn in Montessori classrooms demonstrate stronger social- emotional skills in many areas than children in more traditional environments.

MONTESSORI & CHILD DEVELOPMENT

The Montessori approach is characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child's natural psychological, social development.
Montessori is a method of education that is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning, and collaborative play.
In Montessori classrooms, children make creative choices in their learning, while the classroom and the teacher offer age-appropriate activities to guide the process.

Children work in groups as well as individually to discover and explore the knowledge and to develop their maximum potential.
Montessori believed that children best develop when they are allowed to make decisions and act freely within an environment: -
🌂 An arrangement that facilitates movement and activity
🌂 Beauty and harmony, cleanliness of the environment
🌂 Construction in proportion to the child and her/his needs
🌂 Limitation of materials, so that only material that supports the child's development is included
🌂 Order
🌂 Nature in the classroom and outside of the classroom

MONTESSORI FOR PARENTING...

A B Cube just wants to encourage parents and help them to see that understanding and living with Montessori methods is everlasting for both the parent and the child, and very intimate at that! Parents at A B Cube often ask, "How can I continue my child's Montessori education at home?" But continuing Montessori methods outside the classroom simply begins with better engagement with the Child.

Even though there are schedules and possibly other siblings in the home you need to be mindful of, you can still give your child more uninterrupted work time within reason.
If you have free time on a Saturday afternoon, for example, use that time to allow your child to work in solitary, and observe her choices as she moves along.
If she asks what to do next or asks for your participation, let her know that you are happy to help her find something enjoyable to do, but then step away from her independent space. Say to her, "I am right here for you if you need anything." Give your child the time and space to build her concentration, and increase this time as often as you can.
